Thanksgiving is Coming: Get Your Turkey Fryer!
I have been hesitant about attempting to fry a turkey myself because I have heard so many horror stories about people who have accidentally burned down their house or injured themselves. I am very clumsy and could see myself causing a BIG problem. But there are a lot of people who actually know their way around a turkey fryer, and I have to admit, I am a little jealous. Turkey frying seems like a great Thanksgiving tradition for people who can spend the holiday outdoors.

I don’t know where you found that photo, but it’s priceless!
I’ve never heard of fried turkey… interesting.
I stopped frying turkeys in oil when Char-Broil let me try their oil-less infrared turkey fryer called The Big Easy. No pre-heating. No Oil. No worries. Put the turkey in the basket, put the basket in the cooker, turn on the propane and light it. About 10 minutes per pound or until it hits 165F degrees - crisp skin, moist inside. UL Approved. Paid for itself after the 4th cook - because peanut oil is so darned expensive. Two versions that will cook up to a 16 lb and up to a 24 lb turkey!
Thanks for the tip on The Big Easy. I checked out the How-to video and the virtual tour at the char broil website…it looks pretty awesome!
